Walkable Magnesium Oxide Rockwool Cleanroom Ceiling Panel
The Walkable Magnesium Oxide Rockwool Cleanroom Ceiling Panel manufactured by Glostar factory is a structural, fire-resistant sandwich panel designed for controlled environments such as pharmaceutical, food processing, electronics, and semiconductor facilities. Featuring a high-density rock wool core sandwiched between two layers of magnesium oxide board, the clean room panel offers excellent sound and thermal insulation while possessing sufficient structural strength to support personnel performing maintenance work above the cleanroom area.

The Glostar Walkable Magnesium Oxide Rockwool Cleanroom Ceiling Panel is engineered for cleanroom and controlled-environment ceilings that need to bear maintenance foot traffic — HVAC servicing, filter replacement, lighting access — without requiring separate dedicated walkways above the ceiling plane. The panel combines a high-density MgO board rockwool core with a cold-formed steel frame and pre-painted steel face sheets, producing a rigid composite panel that distributes concentrated point loads safely across the ceiling grid.
Unlike standard gypsum or calcium silicate ceiling panels, the MgO core is inherently moisture-resistant, dimensionally stable in humid environments, and achieves Class A (non-combustible) fire classification — making this panel compliant with the fire and hygiene requirements of pharmaceutical GMP facilities, electronics cleanrooms, food processing environments, and hospital operating theatres across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
The steel frame and MgO rockwool core composite structure provides a distributed load capacity of ≥ 200 kg/m², sufficient for maintenance personnel and light equipment access without deformation or panel failure.
Magnesium oxide is an inorganic mineral compound that does not burn, melt, or contribute to fire spread. The panel achieves Class A (non-combustible) fire classification, meeting Civil Defence requirements in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and equivalent standards across most target markets. No toxic gas emission under fire conditions.
MgO board has inherently low moisture absorption — it does not swell, warp, or lose structural integrity in humid cleanroom environments. Unlike gypsum board, which degrades progressively in high-humidity conditions, MgO panels maintain dimensional stability at relative humidity up to 95%, making them suitable for tropical and coastal climates without special treatment.
The inner face (cleanroom side) is a smooth full-flat pre-painted steel sheet — no recesses, no exposed fasteners, no particle-trapping profiles. The surface is compatible with standard cleanroom cleaning agents and disinfectants. Anti-static coating available for semiconductor and electronics cleanrooms requiring controlled surface resistivity.
Panels are designed to drop into a standard exposed or concealed T-bar ceiling grid — compatible with 1200 × 600 mm and 600 × 600 mm module layouts. The panel weight and rigidity ensures secure seating in the grid without additional clip fixings under normal conditions. Positive-locking clips available for seismic zones or high air-pressure differential environments.
The MgO core provides moderate acoustic insulation, reducing noise transmission between cleanroom zones and plenum space. Optional rock wool infill layer available for enhanced acoustic performance in noise-sensitive applications such as hospital operating suites and precision metrology rooms.
